Recently I returned from checking off my 7th and final continent: Antarctica.
I have no words.
It’s been my response whenever someone asks me about my trip to Antarctica.
I have no words.
Because how do you describe what it’s like to travel to one of the most remote parts of the world? To step out on a deck at 5 am and listen to the wind chimes of icebergs in the distance? To stand in the middle of a penguin colony with so much unfettered joy that you can’t contain yourself? To float in a zodiac raft while a family of humpback whales frolic mere feet from where you sit? To sit in utter silence except for the sound of glaciers crackling below you and the boom of avalanches in the distance?
How do you describe what it’s like to fulfill a dream so intense you don’t remember when it was first whispered into existence? A dream that somehow became a part of you, stuck between the crevices of your bones?
I have no words.
But I do have photos. Hundreds and hundreds of photos. So until I have the words, here is a visual glimpse at what this trip was like:
More words to come.
I get all giddy just watching the pictures!!! Between the whales and the penguins I don't know who I would have been more excited to be that close to. What an amazing experience and one that I know you'll never forget! The picture with the Forced Joy banner brought tears to my eyes for so many reasons. Thanks for sharing!
Wow what an amazing experience! The pictures are stunning and I’m sure much more so in person🤩
