Something I did last summer that I found so helpful and healing was finding a little farmer's/produce market, picking out fresh veggies and then coming home and making them into a healthy soup. I slowed the whole process down and savored each step from selection, chopping, stirring, and finally eating/enjoying the fruits of my labor. I always did this on the weekend (which are some really tough days when you've lost your person), so maybe it was just distraction or a way to fill the hours besides binge-watching the Pitch Perfect trilogy (again!) but, for me, it nourished my body and soul.

Losing the person who knew you in "that way". The way you tick. The way something is wrong on the inside. Who knows all the parts. I feel like that about my Mom. Wish I had the insight to write more back then... thanks for sharing. And rest is medicine. Seed planting season. Water and sun. Sending 🤍
